Should the Triple Aim become the Quadruple Aim? ![]() 1 The primary Triple Aim goal is to improve the health of the population, with 2 secondary goals-improving patient experience and reducing costs-contributing to the achievement of the primary goal. The Triple Aim is an approach to optimizing health system performance, proposing that health care institutions simultaneously pursue 3 dimensions of performance: improving the health of populations, enhancing the patient experience of care, and reducing the per capita cost of health care. Since Don Berwick and colleagues introduced the Triple Aim into the health care lexicon, this concept has spread to all corners of the health care system. ![]()

It's one thing to have a DAWIA Level III but another to actually have practical experience. Like I said the main concern I have is having the 10 years of contracting experience but not the same level of experience as a similar 10 year 1102. The wife has been through them before and has told me she is behind me no matter which way I decide to go. Mentally the deployments are tough, mostly because I am missing my kids growing up. It would take a lot of space to explain it here but long story short is Army Contracting Command didn't do a good job showing big Army what we do so big Army cut our numbers and then Army Contracting Command decided to deploy us more in order to show how we can help. The Army decided to cut our 51C workforce but 33% but at the same time increase our workload, deployment wise. Most likely I would be deployed outside the US in the last 5 years that I would have in. I begin collecting the pension as soon as I retire, which would at 44 years old. From what I understand if I am near a base then it is awesome because you can use the base facilities, but if you are not near a base it is similar to what a GS employee gets. If I understand the military retirement system correctly, you can retire with full benefits after 20 years.Ĭlose, we 50% of our base pay and we get health benefits. If I posted this is the wrong area let me know and I will delete and post somewhere else. Thanks everyone for your guidance/advice in advance. As an NCO it isn't the most money but it covers a mortgage payment or helps me to max out other investments. ![]() I can afford a little more risk because I have that monthly pension check coming in for the rest of my life. On the other hand retiring from the Army brings monetary benefits and healthcare benefits. Because of the nature of the military always moving or deploying we just don't get those opportunities. The younger 1102's I worked with at a larger contracting center were able to move up into positions with more responsibility and complicated actions. I feel that coming out with 10 years of contracting experience at this level will put me behind my peers entering the civilian contracting workforce. However I feel like the level of contracting experience I am getting at a 51C NCO is very simple and not a lot of room for growth into "real" 1102 work. In my limited time in contracting I've really enjoyed the field and know this is what I will continue to do whether I retire or not. I've worked under one chain of command who refused to give NCO's warrants and one that has, it is hit or miss. The chain of command we work under really depends on if we can get a warrant or not. When we are not deployed we are pretty much used at 1105's doing mostly under SAT work. Also our promotion potential is very limited right now and for the foreseeable future. I have found that work interesting because I have learned a lot about contract administration but I enjoy the contracting work better that the quality assurance work. Instead the Army chooses to use NCO's as 1910's, Quality Assurance Specialists. My dilemma is do I get out or stay in? I am currently on my second deployment as a 51C, fourth overall since I've been in, and both deployments as a 51C I have not done any contracting. You will get the same experience, and not to mention, emulators like iMAME will give you game-specific advantages as well.Īnyone willing to play iOS games on their PC without buying a new iOS device can benefit greatly from these emulators. In a situation like this, instead of buying an iOS device, emulating is cheaper. It surely sounds silly, but there are times when you want to play a game that is exclusive to iOS only. Ultimately saving you the cost that you would spend on a new device. This sort of thing does not happen in emulators as they cater to almost all the OS versions. It is definitely better than buying devices and then seeing if they can run the older or newer versions of the OS. In most cases, you only have to buy the emulator for once. The good thing is that with emulators you really don’t have to worry about the incurring cost. Many developers tend to use emulators over actual devices because it is cost-effective as well. So, if you find any bugs while testing, you can iron them out before you are pushing for the final release. Emulating can potentially save you a ton of time, and you can even troubleshoot on the go. The same process goes for testing an application. You can simply emulate iOS, and load your app to see if it works or not. You can find multiple sources on peak fall foliage predictions on the internet, but after talking to colleagues and paying close attention to the weather from recent cool nights to limited rain (including an increase in the number of cooler nights we experienced this past September than those during September 2019), I can predict that here at Longwood we may see peak color starting around mid- to late October. Before the leaf drops from the tree, pigments such as carotenoids (responsible for yellow colors) and anthocyanins (responsible for red colors) become more visible, and help Mother Nature put on her fall foliage show. As the production of chlorophyll halts, it breaks down, causing a leaf’s green color to fade. During the growing season from spring through summer, leaves gradually lose chlorophyll but quickly lose much more chlorophyll right before leaf fall. The length of daylight and changes in temperature cause leaves to stop producing food for the plants. Beautiful reds require cold but sunny days, but wet, windy weather can prematurely knock leaves off, leaving you with a soggy mess in your yard.ĭon’t worry, we’ll get to the best prediction as to when you can revel in peak fall vistas at Longwood, but first, let’s take a look at the science behind what causes fall color.
